I've been wanting to do something some fanart for Der-Shing Helmer [link] for some time now and Angora seemed like a natural choice. In the beginning I was going to draw her with the little critter which appears in the very first pages of The Meek, but I needed it's tail to be puffier, etc, etc, so it evolved into its own thing.

I've actually visited this piece several times over the time that I have been watching you, (I've even commented on it before

) but it's also what MADE me start watching you! I think it's absolutely inspiring how you can make what might have been just a picture of a girl holding a lemur into something that is far beyond that. The shapes, lines and colours make this something brand new and fresh.

It's so vibrant and full of energy~ and you make it look so effortless. When I'm in an artblock and I just need something to inspire me enough to kick me out of it, I always came back to look at this! There is nothing more inspiring!
