As far as the originality of this work, there are two key aspects that draw me in. It is a very unique combination of content that surely no one has made exact replicas of? The feel of the wide plank flooring is excellent as well. The floor is a key feature of the work adding to both high marks for technique (wood is so hard to get right) and the impact of the image.
Which brings me to the full impact of the image. This kitchen is like something from one of my children's books. In fact, I wish I had seen it before we published one of the chapter books. I wouldn't have gone with any of my selected works. Instead I would have hired this very talented artist to bring my Nightshade Inn kitchen to life. I would love to see more of her work in fantasy themes.
